I am the Founder and President of Entertaining Diversity, Inc. We create immersive and interactive learning experiences through all forms of media and live performance. I have an EMMY Award and five Telly Awards.

I have produced, directed and edited over 150 national and internationally acclaimed social and political issues oriented full-length documentaries and magazine-style news programs, including the multiple Peabody and Emmy-winning PBS series, FRONTLINE. My educational series, Diversity Elementary has been a big success in schools all across the US and 23 countries. I have also created and produced pilots for several TV series.

My PBS documentaries such as Crossing The Line: Multiracial Comedians, and Model Minority: Do The Math, have stirred nationwide discussions on identity, race and culture. I have been featured in major news outlets including The NY Times, LA Times, USA Today and National Public Radio. As an actor and speaker, I have performed my one-man shows and presented as keynote speaker, over 2,000 times in 48 US states, Canada and Japan. I am also a TEDx speaker.

My dramatic, 9-part science-fiction podcast series (Season One), Caucus: After The Fall, is playing in 86 Countries and over 2,000 cities, worldwide. I am the author and illustrator of books on multiracial and multicultural identity, including In The Shadow of Race (author), Mixed Feelings (author, illustrator) and Jeni So Many. (author).

For the past eight years, I have been Chief of Global Creative Services at Ibis Consulting Group, overseeing all aspects of innovation and creative content development, as well as globalization of its consulting and training programs for global B2B clients including Google, AMEX, Hasbro, Gannett, Walmart, 3M, Biogen, Kohl’s, Edgewell, Freddie Mac, Stanford University, MIT, Federal Reserve Bank, Medtronic, Nestle, and many more.

I am also Co-Executive Producer, Director of Photography and Editor at Tow-Arboleda Films. We create award-winning social impact videos that address racism and bullying against Asian Americans, and have garnered tens of millions of collective views worldwide.

I have a Master’s Degree in Education and Digital Media (M.Ed.)
I grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and have a deep appreciation for diversity and humankindness.
My favorite hobby is being a dad!
